
Senior Product Manager β MetaDefender Kiosk Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Take ownership of the vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, packaging, competitive landscape, and lifecycle of the MetaDefender Kiosk hardware series, starting with the Kiosk Desktop line.
β’ Lead the hardware platform in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, focusing on industrial design, performance, interfaces, thermal management, component selection, BOM, cost efficiency, reliability, serviceability, and next-generation platforms.
β’ Manage certification and compliance deliverables, ensuring adherence to FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, TAA, and NDAA Section 889 standards.
β’ Monitor hardware failure rates, returns, problematic components, and gather customer feedback.
β’ Oversee pricing and licensing models, support tiers, refresh and trade-in strategies, margins, and legal agreements.
β’ Define product data and telemetry strategies for connected, isolated, and air-gapped deployments.
β’ Facilitate integration with My OPSWAT Central Management for enrollment, policy setting, updates, health monitoring, diagnostics, reporting, licensing, role-based access, and APIs.
β’ Lead the MetaDefender security experience, encompassing multiscanning, Deep CDR, AI-driven malware detection, sandboxing, DLP, vulnerability detection, media validation, and policy enforcement.
β’ Utilize AI and agentic tools to research, prototype, analyze product data and logs, and validate concepts.
β’ Aim to reduce clicks, training requirements, deployment time, and support requests across product workflows.
β’ Provide field and channel teams with positioning, competitive insights, demos, collateral, and readiness for launches.
β’ Conduct visits to customer sites across various industrial and operational environments to observe security-boundary workflows.
β’ Drive the resolution of recurring product issues to their root causes in collaboration with engineering, QA, manufacturing, and support teams.
β’ Manage business and market metrics, including revenue, pipeline, win rates, installed base, ASP, hardware costs, gross margins, and attach rates.
β’ A minimum of seven years in product management, with a proven track record of owning a technically complex product from strategy through delivery, adoption, and growth.
β’ Hands-on experience with products that integrate hardware and software, including considerations for cost, quality, and manufacturing readiness.
β’ Experience guiding hardware products through regulatory certification and supply chain provenance requirements, including FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, and TAA or NDAA Section 889 country-of-origin obligations.
β’ Sufficient technical knowledge to engage in discussions about hardware architecture, Windows and Linux environments, networking, APIs, security, system performance, logs, deployment, and enterprise management.
β’ Proven ability to work in an AI-native style using AI and agentic tools for research, prototyping, analysis, testing, documentation, and collaboration with engineering teams.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 25%, visiting customer, partner, and contract manufacturer sites.
β’ A commercial ownership mindset focusing on adoption, revenue, competitive win rates, quality, costs, margins, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Professional proficiency in English.
β’ Nice-to-have: experience in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, OT, and industrial environments.
β’ Nice-to-have: familiarity with security appliances, removable media security, or edge computing.
β’ Nice-to-have: experience in hardware product development, manufacturing, supply chain, or failure analysis.
