This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Create and uphold product strategies for Managed Magento, Managed Shopware, and InterWorx.
• Identify target client segments, understand client needs, articulate value propositions, determine positioning, and set strategic priorities.
• Formulate and sustain product roadmaps that encompass priorities, investments, trade-offs, dependencies, and anticipated outcomes.
• Advise on product priorities, investment strategies, planning structures, service tiers, add-ons, upgrade paths, licensing, and enhancements to client experience.
• Oversee product lifecycle activities, including supported versions, end-of-life planning, deprecations, upgrades, and migration strategies.
• Convert technical capabilities and limitations into product requirements and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure on assessing feasibility, architecture, capacity, performance, security, reliability, and operational risk.
• Direct the strategy and roadmap planning for InterWorx as both an internal platform component and a commercially licensed product.
• Utilize client, market, operational, and financial data to inform decisions regarding pricing, packaging, adoption, conversion, retention, expansion, and margin.
• Develop business cases and present product investment recommendations.
• Identify unfulfilled client needs and lead efforts in discovery, validation, prototyping, benchmarking, and experimentation.
• Define the scope of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and establish success metrics; collaborate throughout product development and launch.
• Contribute to the AI vision and cross-portfolio software strategy, including exploring AI opportunities in diagnostics, migrations, upgrades, security remediation, and support.
• Set and monitor product KPIs along with technical, client, and business performance metrics.
• Engage directly with merchants, agencies, developers, system administrators, and client-facing teams.
• Act as a product escalation point for critical client-impacting issues.
• Participate in communities related to Magento, Adobe Commerce, Shopware, hosting, development, agencies, and system administration.
• Forge connections with agencies, extension and plugin providers, technology partners, and platform vendors.
• Lead cross-functional projects and foster collaboration among Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Design, Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Support, Finance, and leadership teams.
• Communicate priorities, decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly.
• Share product management expertise and mentor team members.
• Extensive product management experience, particularly at a Senior, Lead, or equivalent level of responsibility and scope.
• Proven experience with eCommerce platforms, preferably Magento or Adobe Commerce, Shopware, or similar open-source or enterprise commerce systems.
• Familiarity with web hosting, cloud infrastructure, or similar technology products.
• Basic understanding of full-page caching, in-memory data stores, search services, PHP, and database technologies.
• Capability to read and interpret technical documentation, assess APIs and configurations, and engage effectively in technical discussions with engineers and system administrators.
• Experience contributing to revenue growth, pricing, packaging, monetization, margin, adoption, retention, or other performance metrics.
• Proficient in defining, monitoring, and utilizing product KPIs and relevant data.
• Significant experience in product or product capability development and launch, from concept to customer availability and adoption.
• Demonstrated customer focus with experience integrating direct customer feedback into product strategy and prioritization.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives through influence and stakeholder management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in participating in developer, open-source, agency, or similar professional communities.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with InterWorx, cPanel, or Plesk.
• Preferred: Linux server administration, performance tuning, or capacity planning experience.
• Preferred: involvement in eCommerce migrations, major version upgrades, or platform end-of-life programs.
• Preferred: knowledge of PCI DSS and other hosted-commerce compliance requirements.
• Preferred: experience with AI-enabled or agentic product capabilities.
• Preferred: experience operating or leading a business, agency, or product initiative.
• Preferred: multi-product or portfolio business experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with open-source communities, contribution models, governance, and commercial models.
