This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop and implement strategies for the product line, including product roadmaps, business cases, and plans for portfolio expansion.
• Track product performance, market trends, and customer requirements to uncover growth potential.
• Gather customer insights from pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors through field-based commercial teams.
• Collect market intelligence from conferences, publications, and key opinion leaders.
• Conduct and analyze voice-of-customer research to shape product strategy, requirements, and the customer journey.
• Collaborate with R&D to establish product specifications, requirements, and performance metrics.
• Determine product positioning, pricing strategies, and differentiation for multiplexed immunoassay and proteomics products.
• Assist in creating marketing materials and training resources for product launches.
• Oversee commercial success and comprehensive lifecycle management, including new product introductions, forecasting, pricing, supply continuity, and product transitions.
• Establish and evaluate KPIs for product line performance and ongoing enhancement.
• Conduct competitive product analyses and formulate strategies to tackle competition.
• Work collaboratively with Assay Development, Quality, Operations, Global Sales Management, Sales, Scientific Support, Customer Service, and Finance.
• Create and oversee tactical marketing and training initiatives to enhance marketing effectiveness and boost customer loyalty.
• Mentor and support Product Managers in areas such as messaging, market sizing, financial forecasting, pricing, and marketing knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in product management.
• Demonstrated success in positioning, managing, and marketing Life Science products across their life cycles to diverse customer segments.
• Knowledge of immunoassay platforms, their development, and their applicability across various research domains.
• Understanding of the technical and biological complexities involved in developing and commercializing tools for measuring intracellular targets.
• Familiarity with techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and Western blot.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple shifting priorities, complex issues, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Skill in building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as an integral team member.
• Proven critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, proactivity, and self-motivation.
• Capacity to advise, mentor, and guide colleagues on best practices in product management.
• Willingness to travel and work outside of regular business hours as necessary.
• Occasional travel of up to 20% may be required.
