This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy and execution of product initiatives for the Epic electronic health record platform and associated clinical informatics tools.

• Oversee the full lifecycle of Epic-integrated solutions, from conceptualization to delivery.

• Establish the product vision and strategy for the Epic domain, concentrating on admission prevention and care coordination.

• Conduct user research involving clinical and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to convert needs into product requirements.

• Design workflows and user experiences.

• Serve as the product owner for Epic and informatics solutions.

• Manage Epic-based tools and workflows through prototyping, development, testing, and implementation.

• Assess vendor buy-versus-build options.

• Create features, stories, and workflow designs based on clinical insights, stakeholder research, and customer experience needs.

• Translate strategic informatics goals into product requirements and project plans that include milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.

• Develop product vision and strategy aligned with organizational objectives and OKRs.

• Coordinate with engineering, data science, integration, and architecture teams within an agile framework.

• Maintain and develop risk and issue logs as well as mitigation plans.

• Ensure alignment among clinical, technical, and operational teams.

• Lead cross-functional meetings with established agendas, follow-ups, and accountability measures.

• Provide executive-level updates on product status, risks, and decisions.

• Develop testing protocols and governance for Epic assessments.

• Partner with training and change management teams to facilitate readiness, adoption, and feedback.

• Assist in the approval of product iterations, schedules, releases, and roadmaps.

• Aid in the recruitment, hiring, and development of product and informatics talent.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of relevant experience, encompassing product management and healthcare informatics or health IT product/project management.

• Extensive Epic expertise, including hands-on management, configuration, or oversight of Epic software, modules, and tools within a healthcare setting.

• Proven capability to deliver complex healthcare technology projects on schedule and within scope.

• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decisions, take ownership, and coordinate resources effectively.

• Experience working with senior-level stakeholders and simplifying complex technical topics for diverse audiences in a matrixed environment.

• Data-driven mindset for assessing product impact and measuring success with analytics teams.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.

• Growth-oriented mindset, agility, and the ability to develop oneself and others.

• Proficient execution and delivery skills, including planning, implementation, and support.

• Business intelligence capabilities and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Experience with change management and fostering user adoption of clinical technology.

• Preferred Epic certification(s) in one or more relevant modules.

• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, Lucid, MS Visio, or similar is preferred.

• Experience in Value Based Care and Medicare/Medicare Advantage is preferred.

• Operational or technical background in care coordination, care continuum, or admission prevention is preferred.

• Comfort working in a regulated environment with considerations for data privacy and compliance is preferred.

• Strong executive presence and experience in presenting to and building relationships with senior stakeholders across a large enterprise is preferred.
