This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
• Direct the product strategy and execution for the Epic electronic health record platform along with associated clinical informatics tools.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of Epic-integrated solutions from concept through delivery, encompassing prototyping, development, testing, and implementation.
• Establish the product vision and strategy through discovery, requirements gathering, configuration, and enhancements.
• Conduct user research involving clinical and business stakeholders.
• Develop features, stories, and workflow designs informed by clinical insights, stakeholder research, and customer experience needs.
• Convert strategic informatics objectives into product requirements, project plans, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with business, clinical, operational, engineering, data science, integration, and architecture teams.
• Assess vendor options for buy versus build decisions.
• Create and manage risk and issue logs while overseeing escalation and resolution pathways.
• Coordinate integration across workstreams and lead cross-functional meetings.
• Provide executive-level updates on product status, associated risks, and necessary decisions.
• Formulate testing protocols and governance for Epic assessments and document reviews.
• Collaborate with training and change management teams to facilitate readiness, adoption, and feedback.
• Assist in product iterations, timelines, releases, and roadmaps.
• Aid in the recruitment, hiring, and development of product and informatics talent.
• 7–10 years of pertinent work experience, including product management and healthcare informatics or health IT product/project management.
• Extensive Epic expertise, with hands-on experience in managing, configuring, or overseeing Epic software, modules, and tools within a healthcare setting.
• Proven ability to deliver complex healthcare technology projects within set timelines and scope.
• Proficient in driving strategic decisions, taking ownership, and coordinating resources.
• Experience engaging with senior-level stakeholders and simplifying complex technical subjects for diverse audiences in a matrixed environment.
• Data-driven approach with experience collaborating with analytics teams to assess product success.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Growth mindset, adaptability, and experience in self-development and mentoring others.
• Skills in planning, delivery, and support.
• Business intelligence skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Expertise in change management and promoting user adoption of clinical technology.
• Epic certification(s) in one or more relevant modules (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, FigJam, Confluence, Lucid, or similar (preferred).
• Experience in Value Based Care and Medicare/Medicare Advantage (preferred).
• Comfort in operating within a regulated environment with considerations for data privacy and compliance (preferred).
• Strong executive presence with experience in presenting to and building relationships with senior stakeholders across a large enterprise (preferred).
