Senior Product Manager, Discovery Experience

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the product vision, roadmap, and execution for consumer-oriented discovery interfaces, including the home screen, search, menu, collections, product detail pages, cart, and checkout process.

• Establish a cohesive discovery experience across both web and mobile platforms that adapts to catalog complexity and user requirements.

• Oversee a wide range of surfaces with competing priorities while ensuring product coherence and progress.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to develop, refine, and launch impactful consumer features.

• Manage the product layer of CookUnity’s server-driven UI system.

• Lead experimentation across discovery surfaces by utilizing robust metric frameworks.

• Work with Design to minimize friction and enhance confidence and intuitiveness across various entry points.

• Ensure the quality and consistency of shared UI components and maintain parity between mobile and web experiences.

• Join forces with the Senior PM for Personalization & AI, translating AI and personalization capabilities into valuable frontend experiences.

• Enhance browse conversion rates, reduce cart abandonment and friction during checkout, and boost funnel conversion, weekly order frequency, and subscriber retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product management, with substantial ownership of consumer-facing mobile and/or web surfaces at scale.

• Proven track record in discovery, browsing, search, or shopping experiences, preferably within a marketplace or catalog-intensive product.

• Strong instincts for user experience and a history of close collaboration with design teams.

• Proficient with frontend product systems, such as component libraries, server-driven UI, and feature flags.

• Capable of effectively partnering with frontend engineers.

• Experience in conducting A/B experiments, defining metrics, and making data-driven decisions in uncertain situations.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills and the ability to influence design, engineering, and business stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a substantial roadmap across multiple surfaces at the same time.

• Technically knowledgeable in component architecture and the system-level impacts on user experience.
