This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of a specific area of BillingCenter from customer discovery all the way through to launch and user adoption.
• Facilitate the discovery-to-delivery process by engaging with carriers, documenting issues, writing specifications, and collaborating with engineering and design teams.
• Provide insights and a well-defined perspective to shape the Billing roadmap and prioritize initiatives.
• Establish relationships with billing operations, finance, and IT leaders at carrier clients.
• Work closely with engineers and architects on defining project scopes, sequencing tasks, making trade-offs, developing data models, and making decisions regarding cloud delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, the Guidewire Cloud Platform, and payment/integration processes.
• Set success metrics including adoption rates, cycle times, straight-through processing, and customer satisfaction levels.
• Leverage metrics to inform future product investments and prioritization.
• 5–8 years of experience in product management.
• Proven experience with enterprise B2B SaaS products catering to large clientele.
• Direct experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance, particularly in areas such as billing, payments, premium accounting, agency billing/direct billing, commissions, or disbursements.
• Hands-on experience in billing, payments, or fintech, covering invoicing platforms, payment processing, collections, reconciliation, or treasury systems.
• A history of delivering significant features from initial problem discovery through to adoption.
• Technical proficiency, including the ability to read API contracts, analyze data models, and engage in substantial design discussions with senior engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to translate customer language into product specifications and engineering details.
• Familiarity with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar core insurance platforms is preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML or agentic features in production products is a plus.
• Background in cloud/SaaS migration and managing large bases of on-premises customers is desirable.
• Experience working with carrier finance, treasury, or accounting stakeholders is advantageous.
• Previous roles as an engineer, solutions architect, business analyst, or implementation consultant on core insurance systems are a plus.
