Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Bank’s private student loan offerings to ensure ELFI invests in valuable products and opportunities for both customers and the organization.

• Connect customers, business strategy, technology, and execution to convert insights and objectives into a prioritized action plan.

• Create and manage the customer discovery process, engaging directly with student-lending clients.

• Validate product concepts and transform customer insights into product opportunities and roadmap suggestions.

• Take ownership of ELFI product strategy and maintain the product roadmap.

• Prioritize product investments based on customer evidence, business value, technical feasibility, organizational capacity, budget, and other relevant guidance.

• Assess new product opportunities and propose organizational investments.

• Define success metrics for products and utilize product analytics to evaluate performance and inform investment choices.

• Represent ELFI in platform development initiatives to ensure a seamless customer experience.

• Collaborate with Management, Legal, and Compliance on audits, reviews, issue remediation, and responses to regulatory inquiries.

• Work in partnership with development teams and external technology consultants to translate product priorities into actionable requirements and delivery.

• Foster alignment across Digital Solutions, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Operations, and business leadership.

• Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and progress updates to Bank executive leadership.

• Act as a liaison among customers, the business, and Digital Solutions.

• Adhere to information security, confidentiality, compliance, regulatory requirements, and relevant student-lending laws.

• Participate in training sessions and updates on policies.

• Work scheduled and additional required hours at designated locations and support Management or Team Members as directed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Required: 5+ years of experience in Product Management, particularly with customer-facing digital products.

• Preferred: Background in financial services, lending, or other highly regulated industries.

• Preferred: Experience in launching new products or enhancing existing customer experiences.

• Preferred: Knowledge of financial technology, online lending, loan origination systems, and platform development.

• Preferred: Familiarity with product analytics, modern product development practices, and the necessary tools for effective implementation.

• Proven track record in owning product strategy, roadmap development, and prioritization.

• Strong customer discovery abilities, with experience in gathering customer insights and translating them into product decisions.

• Excellent analytical skills, underpinned by a data-driven mindset and proficiency in using analytics for informed decision-making.

• Experience in close collaboration with technology teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing leaders across various functions.

• Dedication to promoting equitable access to financial resources for all students.

• Proficient in operating office equipment, telephones, and computers.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both in person and in writing.

• Capability to hear, speak, and understand verbal communication.

• Competence in reading, writing, performing basic math functions, and counting.

• Physical ability to move head, shoulders, neck, and arms freely, necessary for operating office equipment.

• Dexterity and fine motor skills for using a keyboard, operating equipment, and filing.

• Capacity to lift up to 10 pounds, grasp, reach, and pull.

• Ability to think, remember, and learn new information, applying cognitive skills to job functions.

• Capability to focus on mental and physical tasks to see them through to completion.

• Willingness to collaborate with others to share information and address challenges.
