This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete product lifecycle for designated product areas, from concept to delivery and ongoing enhancements.
• Convert intricate business requirements into comprehensive technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Agile engineering teams.
• Serve as the Product Owner, offering vision, guidance, and detailed specifications.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization processes utilizing Jira.
• Collect and synthesize feedback from engineering, product, leadership, sales, support, external partners, and customers.
• Ensure alignment and transparency regarding product decisions, progress, and trade-offs.
• Develop and manage processes and tools for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data for prioritization, risk management, and release planning.
• Maintain and oversee the product roadmap and backlog.
• Communicate updates, risks, and changes to stakeholders.
• Ensure that deliverables conform to North’s Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
• Handle escalations and communicate the implications of expedited or unplanned tasks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and leadership to enhance product management practices throughout North.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of prior experience as a Product Manager, Product Engineer, Product Analyst, or in similar technical product roles.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile software development teams.
• Strong command of Jira and contemporary product management software.
• Product Owner Certification (CSPO, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience in the payments or fintech industry is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and technical expertise, including system architecture, APIs, and data flows.
• Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices.
• Experience serving as a Product Owner on Scrum teams.
• Ability to decompose complex business and technical challenges into actionable requirements and deliverables.
• Proficiency in backlog management, roadmap development, and cross-team coordination.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to leverage data for prioritization and decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering high-value products.
