This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a comprehensive product roadmap that serves as the definitive guide for the direction, execution priorities, and cross-functional collaboration for rare disease products.
• Integrate insights from customers, providers, commercial entities, competitors, market access, technology, clinical aspects, and regulatory considerations to pinpoint opportunities, unmet needs, and gaps in the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Sales, Market Access, R&D, Operations, Technology, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Quality, and Client Services to ensure alignment on priorities, execution strategies, resources, and expectations.
• Create data-driven business cases and ROI justifications that encompass strategic alignment, business impact, feasibility, revenue, profitability, market share, competitive edge, technical complexity, operational readiness, regulatory factors, and resource allocation.
• Take ownership of Market Requirements Documents by defining target segments, value propositions, use cases, features, workflows, user experience requirements, pricing inputs, and success metrics.
• Track product metrics such as volume, revenue, average selling price (ASP), profitability, adoption rates, operational performance, quality indicators, and sustainability; identify risks and underperformance, and implement corrective action plans.
• Oversee enhancements, iterations, releases, and lifecycle improvements for existing products based on feedback, performance data, market changes, operational needs, reimbursement dynamics, and post-launch evaluations.
• Facilitate go-to-market readiness through launch planning, training sessions, material preparation, workflow development, messaging, sales enablement, and execution of commercial strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, genetics, bioinformatics, healthcare, business, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management within diagnostics, genomics, or a comparable field.
• Background in lifecycle management of marketed products and experience with commercial product launches.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams or initiatives within a clinical, healthcare, laboratory, or regulated setting.
• Ability to convert clinical, market, customer, and partner insights into product requirements, prioritized execution plans, and quantifiable business outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• An advanced degree such as an MS, PhD, MBA, or genetic counseling degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with whole exome or whole genome sequencing or related technologies is advantageous.
• Experience working with geneticists/genetic counselors, neurologists, and/or developmental pediatricians is preferred.
• Strong grasp of genetic testing, genomic technologies, clinical workflows, data analytics concepts, and regulated product development processes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and ensure alignment.
• Capability to prioritize initiatives based on data, customer feedback, strategic relevance, business impact, feasibility, and resource considerations.
