Senior Product Manager, Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze business workflows by observing employees and documenting processes, transitions, and waiting periods.

• Collaborate with functional leaders to identify repetitive, high-volume, and time-intensive tasks suitable for automation.

• Establish and baseline cycle-time or unit metrics prior to development.

• Work alongside engineering teams to design and implement internal automation at Engine’s scale.

• Leverage AI tools and agents for analysis, prototyping, and documentation purposes.

• Define the initial scope, rollout strategy, and expansion plan for automation initiatives.

• Create handoff plans in collaboration with designated functional owners.

• Determine whether to rectify or discontinue initiatives when metrics show no improvement.

• Map essential workflows, initiate the first workload with actual users, minimize cycle times, and contribute to the embed playbook.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in product management.

• Preferably familiar with internal tools, operations, or workflow products.

• Experience with at least one AI or automation product currently in production.

• Proven ability to map complex business processes and eliminate time-consuming steps.

• Skills in establishing baseline cycle times and defining metrics for approval by business leaders.

• Capacity to account for costs, including model expenses and engineering time.

• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agents, including their strengths, potential failure modes, evaluations, and the role of human review in workflows.

• Ability to gain the trust of leaders who do not directly report to you.

• Capability to maintain strict adherence to project scope.

• Willingness to shadow support agents or accountants and assess success based on enhanced work efficiency.
