Senior Product Manager – AI-Led Mainframe Managed Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and commercialize Ensono’s Mainframe as a Service portfolio by transforming AI and platform capabilities into marketable managed services.

• Tailor managed service offerings to incorporate new platform capabilities and enhancements driven by AI.

• Revise service descriptions, SOW constructs, feature definitions, pricing models, SKU structures, packaging tiers, and bundles.

• Create scalable costing and pricing strategies that leverage automation and efficiencies derived from AI.

• Turn services into tiered, differentiated offerings and convert technical capabilities into quantifiable client value propositions.

• Establish standardized proposal templates, pricing guidelines, product positioning, messaging, and sales support materials.

• Oversee the commercialization roadmap and manage the complete product lifecycle from ideation to retirement.

• Evaluate and incorporate third-party vendor capabilities, maintain technology-partner relationships, and safeguard service differentiation and profit margins.

• Bundle and monetize use cases based on Telum, Spyre, and next-generation mainframe functionalities.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to ensure offerings are deployable, maintainable, and scalable.

• Partner with Sales on outcomes-driven selling, deal-cycle pricing guidance, packaging, and commercial clarity.

• Conduct customer discovery, track competitor activities, and translate market insights into roadmap and packaging strategies.

• Coordinate with Product, Consulting, Pricing, Finance, Delivery/Operations, and Sales on offerings, pricing, and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years in Product Management or Service Portfolio Management, with responsibility for developing commercial offerings in managed or technology services.

• Extensive experience in managed services across mainframe, infrastructure, or SRE services.

• Knowledge of how managed service offerings are structured, marketed, and delivered.

• Demonstrated expertise in pricing and commercialization, including turning custom services into standardized offerings.

• Experience in developing or influencing costing and pricing models.

• Strong commercial and financial understanding of cost-to-serve modeling, pricing strategies, and margin enhancement.

• Ability to convert technical capabilities into clear packaging and sellable value propositions.

• Familiarity with automation and AI efficiencies related to cost-to-serve and service design.

• Experience working across Product, Finance, and Delivery departments.

• Capacity to lead cross-functional meetings and facilitate decision-making and accountability.

• Responsible for managing roadmaps, dependencies, and delivery progress.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of the mainframe ecosystem, including IBM Z, z/OS, CICS, and Db2; experience with IBM LinuxONE.

• Preferred: Background in Infrastructure Managed Services and/or SRE or Application Services.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AIOps, automation, and developer productivity tools.

• Preferred: Knowledge of vendor ecosystems including IBM, ISVs, observability, security, and DevOps tools.

• Preferred: Understanding of Telum, Spyre, and integrated AI processing.
