
Senior Product Manager – AI Gateway

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Take ownership of the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI Gateway functionalities within Duck Creek’s Agentic AI Platform.
• Define capabilities for API management, MCP gateway, model and tool connectivity, extensibility, and marketplace enablement.
• Convert AI ecosystem, integration, agent interoperability, and architectural requirements into epics, features, use cases, requirements, user stories, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture on gateway patterns for discovery, registration, authentication, authorization, invocation, routing, lifecycle management, versioning, monitoring, and deprecation.
• Set requirements for the integration of Duck Creek-built, partner-built, and customer-built agents using governed interoperability patterns.
• Establish secure access capabilities for models, agents, tools, and APIs, including permissions, entitlements, tenant isolation, usage controls, secrets handling, audit logs, policy enforcement, and governance workflows.
• Work alongside platform, applications, data, security, and governance teams to facilitate trusted context, responsible AI controls, and dependable insurance-workflow execution.
• Enhance the developer, partner, and customer experience through onboarding processes, documentation, certification patterns, diagnostics, testing support, and release readiness.
• Assess trade-offs related to openness, control, innovation, customer value, technical complexity, security, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Define measures for adoption, reliability, security, and business impact, including latency, integrations, gateway performance, invocation success rates, policy violations, and customer value.
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and customers to align product decisions with platform goals and customer requirements.
• Assist in release planning, readiness, and communication by clarifying scope, dependencies, risks, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes.
• Keep track of emerging patterns in AI platforms, interoperability, APIs, model-routing, governance, and developer ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Insurance, Product Management, or a related field.
• Over 6 years of experience in technical product management, platform services, software engineering, AI product management, platform-as-a-service, or similar positions.
• Proven experience in managing complex platform, integration, developer, API, AI, or ecosystem product capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, architecture, security, customer-facing teams, partners, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business and technical challenges into product strategy, roadmap priorities, product requirements, release plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Familiarity with API and integration concepts, such as authentication, authorization, routing, rate limiting, throttling, provider management, and observability.
• Understanding of AI gateway, agentic AI, model routing, tool connectivity, and AI ecosystem patterns.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, AI security, prompt injection risks, policy enforcement, auditability, and governance workflows.
• Proficient in REST, OpenAPI, MCP, A2A, or similar interoperability protocols.
• Familiar with cloud-native platforms, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, event-driven systems, data services, and enterprise security patterns.
• Knowledgeable in identity and access management, secrets management, tenant isolation, permissions, entitlements, and usage controls.
• Understanding of metering concepts such as token-level accounting, chargeback, usage dimensions, and observability infrastructure.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without having direct authority.
• Capacity to communicate complex AI gateway, ecosystem, integration, and security decisions in clear business terms.
• Proficient in using AI-enabled tools for product discovery, analysis, prototyping, documentation, and iterative product development.
• Legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
