This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Engage in inception and iteration planning meetings, enhancing backlogs with technical insights while collaborating closely with the product manager.
β’ Lead and take part in daily standups across sites and product teams.
β’ Facilitate retrospectives, promoting an environment where all participants feel encouraged to give empathetic feedback.
β’ Contribute to both high-level and low-level designs for components and systems.
β’ Involve in meetings focused on performance enhancements and technical reviews.
β’ Collaborate on strategy alignment across product portfolios (cross-product) alongside product managers, peers, and key stakeholders.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert in one or more business domains, advocating for various technology stacks and sharing expertise throughout the organization.
β’ Mentor the team and guide daily practices in paired programming and test-driven development for software creation and product development.
β’ Set up continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.
β’ Provide support for software products in user environments.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience (Preferred)
β’ Proficient in developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot, including tools for documentation (Swagger, REST-docs, OpenAPI spec), versioning, service discovery/registration, testing, and management.
β’ Hands-on experience and accountability in architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed systems and/or cloud applications, including Microservices architectures.
β’ Knowledge and experience in web and API security, covering authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML.
β’ Experience in backend development design and implementation, including databases (MongoDB, caching) and Kafka messaging.
β’ Familiarity with distributed version control systems (Git), artifact management systems, build and packaging systems (Maven, Gradle, NPM, Artifactory, etc.), and Jenkins or similar Continuous Integration tools.
β’ Experience working in an Agile environment or paired programming/engineering model.
β’ Experience with Python is a plus.
β’ Knowledge of the test-driven approach and writing unit tests for comprehensive front-to-back coverage.
β’ Proficient in problem-solving and analyzing performance bottlenecks.
