Senior Product Engineer, Darkplane – Agentic Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Darkplane, primarily utilizing TypeScript/Node.js, alongside Go for control-plane and analytics services.

• Design and fortify systems to safely run untrusted code, assisting customers in integrating AI into their software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure agentic workflows are efficient and reliable in a production environment.

• Enhance developer experience by creating workflows, feedback mechanisms, and safeguards for trustworthy AI-generated code.

• Engage with customers to understand their adoption of agentic workflows and make product decisions based on their needs and business context.

• Share responsibility for stability by proactively identifying technical risks and maintaining robust observability metrics.

• Contribute to backend and platform engineering efforts, including data ingestion pipelines, evaluation runtimes, and data modeling.

• Assist in transforming agentic engineering ideas into reliable product functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Go, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills using advanced coding agents.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and ensuring production reliability.

• Experience in data modeling with relational databases like Postgres and analytical databases such as ClickHouse.

• Background in building or managing agentic AI systems, LLM pipelines, or code sandbox environments.

• Demonstrated experience in owning and conceptualizing products end-to-end, including frontend development.

• Interest in understanding customer needs, engineering team workflows, agentic workflows, and practical applications within a company.

• Proficiency with AI and agentic coding tools, along with discernment regarding their trustworthiness.

• Effective communication skills, good documentation practices, and the ability to work independently.

• Familiarity with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem or observability tools (preferred).

• Experience in building analytical and experimentation platforms (preferred).

• Comfort in mentoring junior colleagues (preferred).
