Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop systems that support pensions, retirement savings, and spending products, including contributions, onboarding, provider integrations, employer configurations, card issuance, and wallet provisioning.

• Take ownership of the technical architecture for the Investments stream.

• Integrate with external pension and savings providers as well as Stripe payment and card infrastructure.

• Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript as needed.

• Participate in client calls to comprehend or clarify issues.

• Actively influence the product roadmap.

• Utilize AI for development, review, and accelerating delivery processes.

• Engage in code reviews and technical planning activities.

• Ensure that the systems under your ownership remain stable and observable.

• Assist in shaping the Investments team as it expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building backend systems in a production environment.

• Proficiency with .NET 10, PostgreSQL, and Azure/AWS.

• Comfortable with contributing to frontend tasks using React and TypeScript.

• Experience in designing and maintaining third-party API integrations.

• Solid understanding of data modeling.

• Strong grasp of event-driven design patterns.

• Experience in developing systems for accuracy and auditability.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and customers.

• A product-oriented mindset with proactive input into the roadmap.

• Thoughtful consideration of reliability, security, and compliance standards.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking ownership in a rapidly growing startup.

• An AI-forward mindset with a willingness to incorporate AI into daily tasks.

• Availability for collaboration around +/- 4 hours GMT.
