Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design, implementation, and management of high-quality full-stack features and systems, with a focus on scalable APIs.

• Develop robust health insurance platforms and utilize AI/ML to improve processes and decision-making.

• Iterate and deliver swiftly, viewing releases as valuable learning opportunities.

• Construct and refine enrollment, CRM, and tracking tools for carriers, agents, and consumers.

• Establish roadmap items and platform commitments that support new business ventures.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design colleagues within a teamwork-focused pod.

• Enhance code quality, scalability, and agility throughout the codebase.

• Function within a DevOps culture that emphasizes multiple daily value deliveries.

• Proactively address security, observability, and telemetry challenges.

• Quickly acquire knowledge, tackle complex issues, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Report directly to an Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience required for the Senior Product Engineer position.

• Comprehensive software development lifecycle experience, including post-launch feature support in agile/lean settings.

• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails or equivalent backend frameworks.

• Familiarity with ReactJS or comparable frontend frameworks.

• Experience with SQL, relational data modeling, and creating reusable components.

• Background in building distributed systems at scale.

• Understanding of infrastructure as code principles.

• Expertise in creating developer-friendly APIs.

• Knowledge regarding observability and telemetry practices.

• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user perspectives.

• Capacity to adapt to and effectively utilize new technologies.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
