Senior Product Designer, Operations Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects from initial research and workflow exploration through to prototyping, validation, detailed design, implementation, and post-launch refinement.

• Develop tools for intricate operational workflows that involve various user roles, multiple data sources, business rules, approvals, exceptions, and audit requirements.

• Quickly create functional AI-driven prototypes to ensure alignment with stakeholders.

• Write and contribute code within production environments, which includes code reviews, testing, deployment, and iterative improvements.

• Gain insights into financial operations users by conducting interviews, observations, workflow analyses, and usability testing.

• Design data-intensive interfaces for monitoring activities, investigating issues, managing exceptions, and aiding informed decision-making.

• Partner with engineering teams to deploy production code to the front end.

• Develop scalable design-system patterns for tables, forms, dashboards, alerts, approvals, audit histories, and AI-assisted interactions.

• Manage multiple projects while effectively communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in product design within startup or similarly fast-paced environments.

• Proven experience in designing and launching products in complex or technical sectors, such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive.

• Proficient in reading and utilizing API documentation.

• Capable of translating complex processes, data, business rules, and edge cases into clear and efficient user experiences, with a focus on auditability and regulatory considerations.

• Ability to work autonomously, establish structure in ambiguous situations, and advance projects with minimal oversight.

• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively across product, engineering, operations, and business teams.
