This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create intricate products, including mobile applications for stroke, trauma, and vascular teams in acute care environments.
• Develop desktop applications utilized by clinicians for patient tracking and monitoring.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles.
• Convert clinical workflows, data insights, and AI outputs into user experiences that are intuitive, efficient, and dependable.
• Oversee the entire design process for iOS, iPadOS, Android, web, and native desktop applications.
• Transform complex clinical data and AI model outputs into high-stakes interfaces that consistently perform well under pressure.
• Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using AI tools and advanced prototyping techniques.
• Enhance and maintain the RapidAI design system and Figma component libraries.
• Lead user research initiatives involving healthcare professionals.
• Execute interviews, observational studies, and usability testing.
• Occasionally travel, up to 20%, to engage with clinicians and validate design choices on-site.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Clinical AI/ML teams from strategy through deployment.
• Make daily design decisions with significant autonomy while aligning with design leadership as necessary.
• Articulate design rationale to technical, clinical, and executive stakeholders.
• Over 6 years of experience in Product/UX Design.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end products across web, mobile, and native desktop platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• Strong portfolio showcasing systems thinking, a clear design process, and solutions for complex, high-stakes user challenges.
• Preference for candidates with healthcare or complex enterprise experience.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research with both technical and clinical experts.
• Extensive proficiency in Figma and contemporary research tools.
• Experience contributing to shared design component libraries is essential.
• Familiarity with platform constraints is necessary.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to expedite design exploration.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across global time zones.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
