Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop the 5-member Product Design team

• Establish and implement design competencies and quality standards across the organization

• Conduct performance evaluations and development discussions with business unit leaders

• Engage in hands-on design tasks addressing complex challenges, quick solutions, exploratory ideas, and team-supporting efforts

• Collaborate with leadership to ensure design direction aligns with product strategy and organizational objectives

• Create and enhance scalable design systems, including components suitable for AI-agent integration

• Influence design methodologies across discovery, concept creation, interaction design, prototyping, and delivery

• Foster a culture of exploration while making decisions based on user needs and market realities

• Champion customer experience across all product interfaces

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product design

• More than 2 years of experience in a management role

• Proven ability to nurture, coach, and support senior design professionals

• Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in visual design, interaction design, systems thinking, product storytelling, and user-centered craftsmanship

• Experience in developing and scaling design systems

• Proficiency in integrating AI within design practices

• Capability to provide clarity in ambiguous situations and transform vague ideas into compelling product concepts

• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating closely with cross-functional leadership

• Familiarity with a range of user research methodologies

• Experience leading design for multiple products or platforms

• Experience in a two-sided marketplace is a significant advantage
