This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Take the lead in driving product initiatives from their inception to the user interface stage.
• Manage design projects comprehensively, covering all aspects from concept and scoping to user flows, UI, release, and follow-up.
• Initiate discovery processes by determining necessary features, addressing user requirements, and analyzing competitors along with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Research, Product Management, and Development teams to leverage insights, align business objectives, and confirm technical viability.
• Draft precise design specifications and conduct design quality assurance to ensure alignment with both design intent and the Kinsta Design System.
• Articulate design choices, resolve conflicts in design and product, seek feedback or mediation when necessary, and communicate trade-offs effectively.
• Occasionally assume the role of Project Owner during the delivery phase, ensuring progress is communicated and releases are coordinated.
• Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the MyKinsta product, including its personas, use cases, and UI-level solutions.
• Maintain design excellence in areas such as design thinking, problem-solving, usability, UX, and UI.
• Engage in design critiques and contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the Kinsta Design System.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, provide UX insights, and work collaboratively with Research, Product Management, Development, and other teams.
• At least 5 years of practical experience as a Product or UX Designer.
• Proven track record of delivering products and features from inception to production.
• Capability to oversee a project independently.
• Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) product environment.
• Hands-on experience in research, problem definition, ideation and facilitation, UI creation, and partnership in delivery.
• Proficient in using Figma at an expert level.
• Experience in working with and maintaining a design system.
• A portfolio showcasing at least one case study that illustrates a project from problem statement to delivered solution, highlighting process and decision-making.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with technical feasibility and comfort in using an Inspector.
• Demonstrated proactivity and initiative.
• Professional-level English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: experience with hosting or web infrastructure products.
• Bonus: experience with technical products aimed at developers or technology-oriented users.
