Senior UX/UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from strategy and discovery to UX, visual design, and prototyping for websites and digital products.

• Independently facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions.

• Carry out user research and conduct usability audits.

• Establish information architecture, user flows, and sitemaps.

• Execute accessibility and UX evaluations.

• Create wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, UI systems, and production-ready prototypes.

• Leverage AI throughout the research, ideation, and execution phases.

• Develop repeatable AI workflows and critically assess AI outputs.

• Act as the primary design representative in client meetings.

• Articulate and justify design decisions with clarity and confidence.

• Assist in business development through design strategies, estimates, proposals, and rapid prototypes.

• Manage client relationships and contribute to the integration of AI within the design team and processes.

• Collaborate with developers using specifications, documentation, and code-adjacent prototypes.

• Handle work across 2–4+ projects weekly and proactively address risks before they escalate into blockers.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the industry.

• 6–10+ years of design experience, particularly within an agency or consultancy setting.

• A portfolio showcasing comprehensive work that includes strategy, UX, and visual design across various project types.

• Proven ability to independently lead client workshops, presentations, and achieve stakeholder alignment.

• Experience in producing high-quality visual designs and UI systems alongside UX deliverables.

• Practical experience utilizing AI design and prototyping tools in real client or production environments.

• Experience working collaboratively with developers using specifications, documentation, and code-adjacent prototypes.

• Proficient in AI and capable of integrating AI as a fundamental component of the design process.

• Extensive knowledge in strategy and UX disciplines.

• Familiarity with inclusive design and WCAG 2.2+ standards.

• Understanding of how CMSs, websites, and applications are developed.

• Current hands-on proficiency with AI-driven design, prototyping, and generative tools.

• Ability to nurture client relationships, conduct stakeholder workshops, present and defend design decisions, and assist in business development.
