This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop, sustain, and consistently enhance product cost models and standard costing methodologies.
• Oversee the creation, updates, reviews, and variance analysis of standard costs.
• Examine material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing process costs to enhance cost accuracy and profitability.
• Assess product-level profitability, margin performance, cost drivers, and business risks.
• Aid pricing, product portfolio, and profitability decisions with thorough financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations on new product opportunities.
• Create business cases, cost estimates, ROI analyses, and investment justifications.
• Provide support for stage-gate and phase-gate reviews during product development.
• Evaluate cost, capacity, yield, and operational impacts of new product launches.
• Work alongside Engineering and Manufacturing teams to grasp production processes, routings, yields, cycle times, labor needs, and capacity constraints.
• Analyze utilization, throughput, labor efficiency, cycle time, scrap, and yield performance.
• Assist with routing reviews, router maintenance, process modifications, and cost-impact assessments.
• Convert operational performance into financial implications and actionable recommendations.
• Spearhead cross-functional cost reduction and profitability enhancement initiatives.
• Identify, quantify, prioritize, and monitor operational cost-saving opportunities.
• Review capital investments, automation projects, process enhancements, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.
• Deliver financial leadership and analytical support for strategic decisions and operational improvement initiatives.
• Present financial and operational insights to management and executive stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance leaders.
• Lead complex analyses and high-visibility projects.
• Foster financial discipline, operational accountability, and continuous improvement.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Strong preference for product costing experience within the semiconductor industry.
• Highly desirable experience in semiconductor test, probe card manufacturing, wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, MEMS, or related semiconductor manufacturing.
• Familiarity with stage-gate product development processes.
• Experience in supporting the development and maintenance of manufacturing routing.
• Proficiency in ERP, business intelligence, Power BI, SQL, Oracle, or related analytics tools.
• Project management experience is essential.
• Financial analysis experience for candidates in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or other technical fields.
• Proficiencies in business case development, communication, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, financial modeling, manufacturing finance, manufacturing processes, marketing ROI analysis, new product introduction (NPI), product costing, and supply chain management.
