Senior Procurement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Strategically oversee commercial procurement across a diverse array of large-scale expenditure categories.

• Facilitate enhancements to the organisation’s procurement strategy at all levels.

• Optimize efficiencies and ensure that effective procurement systems are established.

• Develop, lead, and manage a small team dedicated to procurement.

• Cultivate and sustain essential stakeholder relationships, offering procurement guidance and solutions.

• Revise and implement Action for Children’s procurement strategy.

• Manage outsourcing partners through competitive tender processes or negotiations.

• Employ supplier selection and management tactics.

• Negotiate commercial and contractual agreements with suppliers.

• Promote compliance and oversee controls, governance, and processes.

• Manage the entire procure-to-pay process.

• Supervise the professional or technical category portfolio, prioritize spending activities, identify cost savings, tender, and manage supplier and product/service lifecycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• MCIPS qualified.

• Experience within a procurement setting.

• Experience in managing high-value contracts.

• Preferred experience in a not-for-profit or public sector environment.

• Capability to influence behavioral changes and stakeholders while shaping requirements.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and establish connections with new suppliers.

• Proven experience in guiding and advising on complex procurement issues.

• Experience in developing and assessing a procurement strategy.

• Experience in managing staff and exemplifying professional standards and behaviors.

• Clear understanding of EDI policies and their application in the workplace.

• Must reside in the UK.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• DBS Basic vetting level is required.
