Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Establish, execute, and disseminate optimal procurement practices and tools.

• Create, implement, and sustain the supplier risk management program.

• Develop and oversee supplier relationship management processes.

• Propel procurement governance, policies, processes, and tools.

• Facilitate the effective and efficient utilization of Strategic Sourcing Department procedures and operational tools.

• Educate, train, persuade, and promote the adoption of best practices throughout operational teams.

• Assist in the execution of business strategies and achieve procurement performance objectives.

• Recognize and mitigate supply chain risks.

• Design and spearhead initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience.

• Establish the supplier relationship management program, which includes assessment guidelines, selection, evaluation, risk assessment, quality, ongoing performance, and offboarding.

• Create, implement, and maintain procurement processes and supporting tools.

• Develop metrics to assess procurement effectiveness.

• Formulate strategic plans for the adoption, enhancement, and development of procurement technology.

• Oversee the creation of procurement policies, procedures, SOPs, and work guidelines.

• Design and deliver training for procurement and operations teams.

• Standardize and unify procurement practices, policies, and compliance reporting.

• Apply best practices where necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

• MBA is preferred.

• More than 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related area.

• Proven experience in leading procurement process and tool implementations.

• Capability to lead through influence.

• Established track record of achieving measurable results in a matrix organization.

• Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices and support systems.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

• Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to prioritize multiple projects.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

• Certifications such as CPSM or PMP are preferred but not mandatory.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

• Willingness to travel 15%-20% of the time.
