This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Develop and carry out procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services.
β’ Gather and evaluate pricing, expenditure, and supplier performance data to enhance sourcing strategies and set price goals.
β’ Request supplier quotes, assess bids and proposals, and make recommendations for source selection or award decisions.
β’ Create and distribute purchase orders, RFPs, and bid packages.
β’ Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, delivery timelines, and other contractual obligations with suppliers.
β’ Oversee purchase orders from the award stage through to completion and ensure on-time delivery.
β’ Address supplier issues related to damaged goods, rejected materials, shortages, over-shipments, cancellations, returns, claims, and engineering modifications.
β’ Maintain precise procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
β’ Collaborate with program management, engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams.
β’ Offer guidance, mentorship, or training to less experienced employees.
β’ Ensure adherence to anti-corruption ethics, laws, regulations, and company procurement policies.
β’ Bachelorβs Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
β’ Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
β’ Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
β’ Capability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
β’ Occasional travel may be necessary, up to 10%.
β’ Experience in supporting procurement activities within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated environments.
β’ Practical understanding of project management principles and project-based procurement initiatives.
β’ Proficiency in preparing RFPs, bid packages, and supplier evaluation documentation.
β’ Familiarity with supplier performance metrics, cost analysis, and market analysis.
β’ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations, and program management.
β’ Ability to provide training, mentorship, or daily guidance to other buyers or support personnel.
β’ Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, supplier risk management, and issue resolution protocols.
β’ Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other business systems utilized for analysis and reporting.
β’ Experience in identifying and executing process improvements within procurement operations.
β’ Knowledge of anti-corruption regulations, ethical standards, and purchasing compliance requirements.
