This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement processes for designated suppliers, from the initial part setup and purchase order creation to final delivery.
• Ensure the accuracy of ERP/MRP system data, including lead times, supply periods, safety stock, and other procurement metrics.
• Generate and manage purchase orders while facilitating quotes, negotiations, cost accountability, and procurement needs.
• Build and sustain supplier relationships while ensuring timely delivery and resolution of any supplier-related issues.
• Track supplier performance, procurement metrics, material availability, and delivery patterns to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Planners and key stakeholders to review critical shortages and work with suppliers to enhance delivery and close supply gaps.
• Address receiving, invoice, and other procurement discrepancies promptly to support material availability and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Assist in meeting production line needs, including Production Readiness Reviews, DMP management, and other purchasing tasks.
• Conduct competitive supplier bidding, assess sourcing alternatives, and assist in supplier risk evaluations and development activities.
• Investigate supplier root causes, support corrective measures, and drive lasting solutions to recurring delivery challenges while aiding in other assigned procurement projects.
• Collaborate with Planners, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to address supply chain issues, mitigate supplier risks, and ensure production continuity.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• Proven professional or educational experience communicating effectively in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.
• Purchasing experience within a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience in competitive bidding and supplier development initiatives.
• Proficient in Excel with experience handling procurement or supply chain data.
• Understanding of supplier performance management, procurement procedures, and continuous improvement strategies.
