This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop innovative, thought-provoking, and essential insights content that is highly impactful.
• Create actionable thought leadership, analysis, and recommendations that cater to client needs.
• Diagnose root causes of client challenges and reshape perspectives to enhance strategic direction.
• Set insights positions within a team of analysts.
• Conduct research, analysis, and forecasting of trends and changes in the procurement technology market.
• Counsel clients and prospects through both virtual and in-person engagements.
• Design and present at Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
• Provide sales support and assist Insights teams in addressing key client priorities.
• Perform timely and high-quality peer reviews of content.
• Act as an industry expert representing Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies.
• Engage in collaborative discussions on innovation, ideation, and research.
• Enhance research methodologies and create new service delivery processes.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Focus on procurement technologies, vendor assessments, digital transformation, AI strategies, implementation, change management, and ROI.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant industry or field experience.
• Proven experience in leading strategic digital transformation initiatives within procurement.
• Extensive experience in sourcing and implementing procurement technology.
• Strong knowledge of Coupa, SAP Ariba, GEP, Jaggaer, and Ivalua is required.
• Required experience in piloting, implementing, or utilizing AI in procurement.
• Preferred experience in developing and executing an AI strategy for procurement.
• Ability to articulate how procurement and sourcing technologies contribute to business value.
• Insight into emerging technologies and their implications for procurement.
• Executive presence with the capacity to build credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, research, writing, analytical, presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data, identifying patterns, and applying frameworks.
• Subject matter expertise with comfort in presenting at both large and small-scale events.
• Strong business and financial insight.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the global and competitive procurement landscape.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a multicultural global team.
• Capability to navigate complex, matrixed environments.
• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as required.
