This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement tasks for designated suppliers, which encompass sourcing, competitive bidding, issuing purchase orders, negotiating terms, and managing supplier performance.
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that align with quality, cost, delivery, and business goals.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, market dynamics, procurement data, and cost influencers to uncover cost-saving opportunities and inform sourcing choices.
• Create RFPs, bid documentation, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Track ERP/MRP data and procurement needs, including lead times, supply duration, safety stock levels, and planning parameters.
• Build and nurture supplier relationships while ensuring timely deliveries, resolving issues, and fostering continuous performance enhancements.
• Collaborate with Planners, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to address supply chain issues.
• Recognize and mitigate risks associated with suppliers and the supply chain.
• Investigate root causes from suppliers and spearhead corrective actions.
• Generate procurement metrics, dashboards, presentations, and management reports; assist with audits, recovery strategies, and production readiness evaluations.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant prior experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• Proven professional or academic experience in communicating in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Previous experience with SAP or comparable ERP/MRP systems.
• Background in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.
• Understanding of competitive bidding processes, supplier development, and supplier performance management.
• Proficient in Excel with experience in analyzing procurement or supply chain data.
• Familiarity with Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, or APICS/ISM standards and certifications.
