This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and implement strategic procurement initiatives, encompassing sourcing strategies, competitive bidding, RFP development, supplier selection, negotiations, and cost management.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies that enhance cost efficiency, quality, delivery, supplier performance, and overall business value.
• Oversee strategic supplier relationships and performance regarding quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and contract compliance.
• Spearhead complex supplier negotiations and commercial engagements, including pricing, terms and conditions, agreements, and cost reduction strategies.
• Analyze supplier pricing, financial data, market conditions, demand trends, and procurement metrics.
• Identify and address supply chain risks that could impact production or customer commitments.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and other stakeholders.
• Lead supplier corrective actions and conduct root cause analysis.
• Establish and monitor procurement and supplier performance metrics, formulate recovery plans, and communicate risks, trends, and opportunities to leadership.
• Support production readiness reviews, DMP management, audits, leadership reviews, and other strategic initiatives.
• Travel up to 10–15% as required by business needs.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Proven professional or educational experience in communicating in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Previous procurement or strategic sourcing experience in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong proficiency with SAP, Agile, or other ERP/MRP and procurement systems.
• Experience in competitive bidding, supplier development, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Familiarity with Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR/DFAR regulations, and supplier compliance requirements.
