This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement operations for designated suppliers, encompassing sourcing, competitive bidding, purchase orders, negotiations, and management of supplier performance.
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that align with quality, cost, delivery, and overall business objectives.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, market trends, procurement data, and cost factors to uncover savings opportunities and inform sourcing decisions.
• Create RFPs, bid packages, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Track ERP/MRP data and procurement needs, including lead times, supply periods, safety stock, and planning criteria.
• Build and nurture supplier relationships while ensuring timely delivery, addressing issues, and fostering continuous performance enhancements.
• Collaborate with Planners, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to tackle supply chain issues.
• Identify and alleviate supplier and supply chain risks.
• Investigate supplier root causes and spearhead corrective actions.
• Develop procurement metrics, dashboards, presentations, and management reports; assist in audits, recovery plans, and production readiness reviews.
• Aid strategic procurement initiatives and data-driven decision-making for Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense solutions.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience coupled with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• Proven professional or educational background in communicating effectively in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Previous experience with SAP or comparable ERP/MRP systems.
• Background in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.
• Familiarity with competitive bidding, supplier development, and supplier performance management practices.
• Proficient Excel skills with experience in analyzing procurement or supply chain data.
• Understanding of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, or APICS/ISM practices and certifications.
