Senior Procurement Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic procurement operations that support defense and governmental programs.

• Work in conjunction with Programs, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering to ensure procurement activities align with program needs and timelines.

• Tackle intricate supply chain issues for the Department of War and the Intelligence Community.

• Formulate and present strategic sourcing plans, which include supplier selection, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.

• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle from planning to closeout, adhering to company policies, FAR, and DFARS.

• Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Perform market research, supplier qualifications, source selections, and evaluations of cost/price reasonableness.

• Utilize purchasing and ERP systems to generate and manage purchase orders.

• Ensure procurement files and documentation are kept accurate and up-to-date.

• Suggest and implement improvements to procurement processes.

• Keep internal customers, partners, and stakeholders informed about order statuses, modifications, and returns.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting (or a Master’s degree plus 3 years).

• Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

• Proven experience in negotiations and supplier management.

• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.

• Understanding of ITAR/EAR export controls and practices to prevent counterfeit parts.

• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Eagerness to broaden expertise in other areas of Supply Chain and Contracts.

• Experience with AI-enabled tools and a willingness to apply AI in Contracts and Supply Chain operations.
