This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the Paula’s Choice sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with brand growth objectives, innovation pathways, regulatory standards, and margin aspirations in a cohesive plan.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and margins across formulations and packaging by implementing value engineering, developing alternative ingredients and packaging, and consolidating suppliers.
• Serve as the primary contact for escalated supplier concerns and inquiries related to brand procurement.
• Act as the main liaison with Planning, R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Portfolio Procurement teams.
• Represent procurement in brand discussions, converting commercial and market insights into actionable brand impacts and decision-making recommendations.
• Manage supplier relationships, which include conducting QBRs, maintaining performance scorecards, fostering innovation engagement, and promoting continuous improvement.
• Keep risk and contingency plans for essential formulations and components, including dual sourcing, capacity reservations, and alternatives.
• Aggregate brand-level spending and supplier information to uncover trends and shape strategic direction.
• Contribute to executive dashboards that monitor savings, risks, and margin performance.
• Encourage the effective utilization of digital procurement tools and advocate for process enhancements.
• Collaborate with central portfolio procurement and brand supply chain teams on change management and capability development.
• Achieve cost savings, enhance gross margins, improve lead times, ensure OTIF, optimize inventory efficiency, bolster supplier resilience, source NPD timely, and satisfy stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in procurement roles within the beauty, luxury, or FMCG sectors, with a strong focus on skincare ingredients and packaging.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects with R&D and supply chain and promoting the adoption of best-practice procurement processes.
• Outstanding business partnering and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior brand leaders in a matrixed environment.
• Strategic mindset with the capability to convert brand aspirations into sourcing actions and measurable commercial results.
• Extensive RFx and negotiation skills, covering pricing, terms and conditions, and risk management.
• Strong analytical and commercial insight, integrating market trends, expenditure, supplier capabilities, and formulation dynamics.
• Proficient in procurement and CLM tools; skilled in digital reporting and ensuring decision transparency.
• Effective communication and escalation management with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in New Product Development (NPD) and stage-gate methodologies.
