This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery for a designated portfolio of suppliers supporting essential aerospace components.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned commodities.
• Spearhead supplier development initiatives at supplier locations.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to foster strategic partnerships and key business objectives.
• Work alongside Supplier Quality, Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams to address production challenges and enhance supplier performance.
• Contribute to the implementation of team processes and continuous improvement efforts, including standard work, KPIs, and best practices.
• Manage supplier contracts and enact corrective measures for issues related to cost, quality, and delivery.
• Cultivate supplier relationships and lower the overall cost of procured materials.
• Execute supplier relationship management strategies for the assigned portfolio.
• Monitor supplier capacity, promised delivery dates, and overall delivery performance.
• Identify potential risks, initiate recovery plans, and ensure commitments to customers are fulfilled.
• Lead reviews of supplier performance and troubleshoot delivery, quality, and operational problems through root cause analysis.
• Formulate corrective action plans and recovery strategies.
• Evaluate value stream spending and supplier performance data to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction, margin enhancement, and operational efficiency.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and disseminate best practices throughout the supply chain organization.
• Travel up to 20%, primarily to supplier sites in the U.S., with occasional trips to Canada.
• A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, account management, operations, or a related business function, OR an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years of pertinent experience.
• Capability to obtain a U.S. Passport.
• Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and driving performance in areas such as cost, quality, delivery, and/or capacity.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and achieve results without direct authority.
• Prior supply chain experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, or complex industrial manufacturing.
• Previous familiarity with SAP or other similar ERP systems.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
