
Senior Principal Technical Product Engineer – Data Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the technical strategy, validate architecture, and design solutions focused on DSPM capabilities.
• Act as the global Data Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal sales teams, partners, and enterprise clients.
• Provide guidance on shadow data discovery, tracking data movement, and preventing data loss.
• Create technical documentation, architectural blueprints, proof-of-concept environments, and integration manuals.
• Develop Data Discovery and Response (DDR) playbooks, integrate with SIEM/SOAR, and automate incident responses for modern Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
• Collaborate with Product Management to represent customer needs and shape product roadmaps and market positioning.
• Design security architectures that protect data utilized by AI/ML pipelines including AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI/Foundry, and Google Vertex AI.
• Connect strategic customers with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
• Recognize recurring customer trends, mentor colleagues, and influence the product strategy and technical direction of Cortex.
• Demonstrate DSPM and DDR capabilities across intricate multi-cloud and AI environments.
• Significant experience leading cross-functional programs in dynamic settings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects and strategic enterprise clients concurrently.
• Outstanding professional demeanor and confidence in advising practitioners up to C-level executives.
• Extensive background collaborating with strategic enterprise clients and major cloud service providers.
• Strong expertise in SOAR, XSIAM, XDR, or CNAPP technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in securing contemporary cloud platforms and application architectures.
• Over 6 years of experience in technical product engineering, solution architecture, or technical product management, with an emphasis on cloud and data security.
• In-depth knowledge of DSPM, DDR, and DLP.
• Practical experience with AWS S3/RDS, Azure Blob/SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks.
• Ability to develop SOC workflows, integrate with SIEM, and create automated incident response triggers.
• Strong understanding of securing data flows for generative AI tools and LLM platforms.
• Excellent presentation and technical writing abilities, including creating demos, whitepapers, and guides for analysts up to CISOs.
• Familiarity with strategic enterprise customers and key cloud infrastructure providers.
• Experience in Application Security, CI/CD pipeline security, or multi-cloud automation using Terraform or CloudFormation is advantageous.
