This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, enhance, and scale data platforms along with ETL pipelines.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
• Develop automation tools for data orchestration, evaluation, testing, monitoring, administration, and operations.
• Incorporate clickstream, relational, and unstructured data sources into the data lake.
• Create and maintain a feature store for analytics and modeling purposes.
• Collaborate with data scientists to develop predictive models for Loopio’s product and internal teams.
• Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and establish supporting processes.
• Construct scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks, AWS Redshift, S3, RDS, and other cloud technologies.
• Establish and maintain the Redshift data warehouse and Databricks Delta Lake.
• Manage pipeline orchestration using workflow frameworks and tools.
• Work in partnership with ML Engineers, Architects, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Over 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proficient understanding of database concepts, modeling, SQL, and query optimization.
• Python experience is preferred, or proficiency in another common programming language like Scala or Java for data manipulation.
• Practical experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Redshift, Glue, QuickSight, Athena, and ECS.
• Strong grasp of relational databases like RDS/Aurora and NoSQL engines such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Neptune.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and models like Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault.
• Experience with MPP frameworks including Spark or Flink.
• Background in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and pipeline orchestration tools such as Databricks Jobs or Airflow.
• Proficient in data visualization and BI platforms such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Sisense.
• Experience working with clickstream data and tools like Amplitude or Pendo.
• Background in a fast-paced agile software development environment.
• Proven experience in building and supporting large-scale production systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, ownership, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical roadmaps, challenges, and solutions.
• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes is a preferred qualification.
• Knowledge of BI PaaS/SaaS solutions is a preferred qualification.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing techniques is a preferred qualification.
• Familiarity with AI-augmented SDLC is a preferred qualification.
• Experience with graph-like data and engines such as Neo4J, Neptune, or GraphFrames is a preferred qualification.
