Google Cloud Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop and set up GA4 properties for various websites and business sectors.

• Identify and implement standard and custom events, triggers, and parameters via Google Tag Manager.

• Conduct real-time quality assurance to ensure accurate data collection.

• Create and oversee scalable Google Cloud data environments using BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.

• Configure GA4-to-BigQuery exports and manage secure IAM and service account permissions.

• Write LookML semantic models and create standardized Looker dashboards.

• Design and manage ETL and reverse ETL pipelines utilizing sources like Iterable and GA4.

• Implement identity resolution and audience synchronization through CDP integrations.

• Assist in SEO/GEO discoverability and experimentation projects.

• Review current analytics configurations and deliver comprehensive data ecosystems for global brands.

• Establish SQL standards, best practices for data modeling, and frameworks for pipeline orchestration.

• Provide guidance to internal leadership and external clients while mentoring data engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL with advanced data modeling skills.

• Expert-level experience with the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.

• Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.

• Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker/LookML.

• Practical experience with identity resolution, audience synchronization, and Customer Data Platform integrations.

• Background in data lakes, data warehouses, ETL, and reverse ETL.

• Strong capabilities in data quality assurance and validation.

• Ability to work with real-time event data and manage IAM and service account permissions.
