Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of scalable data ingestion architectures within Snowflake.

• Take ownership of the development of comprehensive ELT pipelines that incorporate various data sources.

• Design and implement data quality frameworks, which include validation rules, testing strategies, and monitoring processes.

• Promote and apply best practices of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) across all data pipelines.

• Construct and enhance data pipelines and architectures on AWS, utilizing services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and EMR.

• Develop and refine data validation and ingestion frameworks, incorporating Streamlit-based UI components when necessary.

• Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance on best practices in data engineering, governance, and pipeline reliability.

• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and data quality challenges while implementing effective mitigation strategies.

• Contribute to data governance initiatives, focusing on data definitions, lineage, and stewardship practices.

• Drive the documentation and continuous enhancement of data platform processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake (Essential).

• Extensive experience in building ELT pipelines and data ingestion solutions.

• Solid proficiency in SQL and large-scale data processing.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture (Preferred).

• Proven experience in constructing and maintaining data pipelines on AWS (Essential).

• Familiarity with Clean room technologies (e.g., AMC) (Preferred).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows (Preferred).

• Knowledge of tools such as dbt, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda, Terraform, or CloudFormation (Preferred).

• A client-facing leadership role that requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
