Senior Principal Software Engineer, Networking

📋 Description

• Establish and steer the comprehensive technical vision focused on scalability, performance, and security.

• Assess and choose appropriate tools, frameworks, and architectural designs.

• Offer technical leadership and support to the engineering team.

• Mentor and coach engineering professionals.

• Explore emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Lead initiatives for prototyping and proof-of-concept developments.

• Ensure optimal platform performance and scalability.

• Oversee performance enhancements, load distribution, and capacity planning.

• Design systems that are fault-tolerant and highly available.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices in automation.

• Improve deployment, testing, and operational processes.

• Collaborate with security specialists to ensure platform integrity, compliance, and data security.

• Address security vulnerabilities and advocate for secure coding practices.

• Work alongside product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.

• Resolve complex architectural and technical challenges, serving as an escalation point.

• Maintain coding standards through thorough code reviews.

• Set best practices for testing, documentation, and version control.

• Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, design guidelines, and operational runbooks.

• Encourage knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of software engineering experience with proven expertise across various domains (SDLC, AI engineering, corporate systems, etc.).

• Significant experience in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems.

• Proficiency in various programming languages.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Expertise in modern development frameworks.

• Demonstrated capability to lead diverse engineering teams and achieve successful results.

• Proven track record of defining and driving architectural roadmaps that align with changing business needs.

• Expertise in diagnosing complex system issues and crafting robust, scalable solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
