Senior Principal Software Engineer, AI Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of impactful software systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert complex requirements into dependable, scalable solutions

• Manage the development of AI-native solutions from initial requirements through to implementation and deployment

• Direct architecture and technical design for intricate, large-scale software components and services

• Support engineering teams in making technical decisions, evaluating tradeoffs, and planning delivery

• Produce high-quality code while ensuring maintainability through design reviews, testing standards, and operational readiness

• Mentor and coach engineers by sharing best practices and enhancing engineering execution

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in designing and developing production software systems

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

• Advanced proficiency in at least one contemporary programming language

• Capability to design well-structured, testable software

• Experience in system design, APIs, monitoring, reliability, and performance optimization

• Ability to orchestrate comprehensive solutions utilizing an AI-native approach

• Proven experience in leading technical initiatives from start to finish, including requirements, deployment, and iteration

• Strong foundation in cloud-based development and scalable service architecture

• History of mentoring engineers and promoting best practices through reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
