This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Act as a senior fundraiser dedicated to securing donations of $5M and above
• Oversee a portfolio comprising 15-20 high-net-worth individuals, private foundations, and select corporate partners
• Qualify, cultivate, solicit, finalize, and manage stewardship of principal gifts exceeding $5M
• Collaborate with ACS leadership and enterprise teams to align on mission priorities and opportunities
• Convert organizational strategy into donor-focused engagement and solicitation approaches
• Create principal giving materials and resources, which include cases for support, funding proposals, and stewardship strategies
• Involve senior leadership, national board members, and key volunteers to enhance donor relationships
• Identify macro-level prospects, deepen donor engagement, and facilitate major solicitations
• Develop and enhance cases for support, accompanying materials, and strategic documents
• Implement phases of the ACS All in Against Cancer Campaign and other special initiatives
• Utilize donor management systems such as Salesforce to monitor, evaluate, and analyze performance against KPIs
• Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
• Master's Degree is preferred
• CFRE certification is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of professional fundraising experience
• Proven history of successfully securing 7- and 8-figure donations
• Demonstrated ability in building a donor pipeline and obtaining major or principal gifts ranging from $1M to $10M+
• Capacity to establish and maintain high-trust relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and institutional partners
• Experience in crafting personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies for principal giving donors
• Background in navigating highly matrixed environments and influencing across teams, functions, and senior leadership without direct authority
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create impactful proposals, briefings, and donor narratives
• Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and professionalism
• Ability to manage sensitive relationships and handle confidential information
• Familiarity with CRM systems and occasionally project management tools
• Understanding of relevant social, political, and fundraising landscapes
• Willingness to travel, including working evenings and weekends as needed
