Senior, Principal Go Developer – Cybersecurity Platform

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage a large backend ecosystem made up of various services with minimal onboarding assistance.

• Design and sustain backend services utilizing Golang.

• Produce clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in technical discussions.

• Examine legacy and unreviewed code to uncover technical debt, systemic problems, and architectural risks.

• Pinpoint inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement, proposing and implementing solutions.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to establish technical goals and carry out roadmap initiatives.

• Promote architectural enhancements and facilitate technical decision-making with fellow engineering teams.

• Play a role in the long-term evolution of the platform while prioritizing immediate business needs.

• Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong expertise in Golang.

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.

• Experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from planning and goal-setting to delivery and support.

• Proven track record with high-load, high-traffic production environments.

• Deep understanding of scalable and maintainable backend architecture concepts.

• Ability to independently navigate large and unfamiliar codebases.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Demonstrated proactive attitude with the capacity to identify issues prior to escalation.

• Experience in aligning technical solutions with business and customer requirements.

• Proficient in communicating and negotiating technical direction with engineering stakeholders.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.
