• Assess client challenges and requirements to propel strategic initiatives forward.

• Define Insights roles across a team of analysts.

• Deliver independent insights to Gartner leaders, shaping research agendas.

• Conduct research, analysis, and predictions of market trends and shifts.

• Offer actionable guidance to clients and prospects through virtual meetings or in-person interactions.

• Design and present materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.

• Provide sales support and act as the market's representative voice.

• Assist Insights teams in generating content and enhancing client engagement.

• Carry out timely, high-quality peer reviews of content.

• Represent Gartner’s insights, methodologies, and strategies as a recognized industry expert.

• Engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Insights community and across different teams.

• Identify enhancements in research processes and establish new methodologies.

• Facilitate regular client engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.

• Create and disseminate impactful insights regarding software pricing and contracting, with a focus on ServiceNow.

• Investigate, analyze, and forecast trends in software, SaaS, and cloud licensing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of relevant industry or field experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in negotiating SaaS/software contracts, technology procurement, category management, vendor management, or software asset management.

• Experience must have been gained within a buying organization, consulting firm, outsourcer, or reseller.

• Significant, recent experience negotiating with ServiceNow within the past year.

• Expertise in ServiceNow licensing, negotiation techniques, software and cloud service market trends, global dynamics, and the reseller ecosystem.

• Experience in software license compliance risk assessment, management, or mitigation, particularly in the context of software audits related to ServiceNow is preferred.

• Desired experience with AWS, Google, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft.

• Proven executive presence and capability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to perform under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional research and writing skills.

• Proficient written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.

• Capability to engage clients and address inquiries effectively.

• Proficiency in data analysis and synthesis, applying patterns and frameworks accordingly.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex concepts succinctly.

• Subject matter expertise and comfort in presenting at both large- and small-scale events.

• Strong business and financial understanding.

• In-depth knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the relevant field.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multicultural teams globally.

• Agility in learning and ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments.

• Capacity to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all organizational levels.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, as needed.
