This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Offer pre-sales technical consultation during the design, engineering, sales, and implementation phases of advanced products, applications, and solutions.
• Collaborate with sales teams, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders to evaluate product applications and deliver optimal system solutions.
• Address customer proposals, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, while crafting viable proposals that enhance Juniper’s business growth.
• Develop and advise on architectural designs, engineering bills of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions.
• Engage with and influence customer technology strategies through technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept, and trial engagements.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partners.
• Provide training and support to industry partners and customer engineers.
• Commit to continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with industry trends, competitive solutions, products, and services.
• Leverage the latest technological innovations to solve customer challenges.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical/pre-sales position as a Sales or Systems Engineer.
• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in designing, engineering, or consulting on WAN, Data Center, Security, and Cloud technology solutions.
• Substantial experience in implementing and managing large-scale WAN backbone networks.
• Profound knowledge of the Juniper product line, competitors’ offerings, solutions, and vertical market use cases.
• Practical expertise with routing, switching, and security technologies from a pre-sales, operational, or engineering perspective.
• Extensive customer-facing sales experience, including presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and executive/C-level interactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols, including IGPs, EGPs, and Layer-2/3 VPNs.
• Significant datacenter network design experience with EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, and underlay fabric.
• Extensive MPLS and WAN network design experience, encompassing LDP, RSVP, SR-TE, and SRv6.
• Experience in network security with NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, and SIEM.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper solutions or those from other vendors.
• Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.
• Experience in DevOps automation using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, and Netconf is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure is preferred.
• JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, or other relevant industry certifications are preferred.
