Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical expert during the sales process for Strategic Accounts and Business Development teams.

• Deliver presentations to senior leaders and enterprise IT departments.

• Facilitate product demonstrations of Acclaro's platform.

• Conduct requirements workshops to define integration points, data models, and orchestration patterns.

• Create technical blueprints and data-flow diagrams that consider security, scalability, and maintainability.

• Design, implement, and enhance workflows that connect TMS and Acclaro technology with client CMS, DMS, and other enterprise platforms.

• Provide guidance on API architecture, webhooks, and secure middleware development.

• Develop proofs of concept to validate proposed solutions and gain client approval.

• Implement content intelligence workflows that merge Acclaro's platform, large language models, and human-in-the-loop feedback.

• Convert intricate content intelligence architectures into business value for non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Operations on solution feasibility, expectations, handover, and execution.

• Automate manual QA processes and eliminate technical bottlenecks in the content lifecycle.

• Act as the primary technical architect for major enterprise accounts and as a technical partner to Strategic Account Managers and Business Development Directors.

• Report directly to the VP of Sales.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 7+ years of progressive experience in localization engineering, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture with a large language service provider (LSP), language technology vendor, or global tech company, or equivalent experience.

• Exceptional communication skills across various functions, aligning Sales, Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams, linguists, and project managers.

• Confidence in managing complex enterprise procurement and IT security conversations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including transforming complex manual processes into streamlined, automated solutions.

• Clear understanding of content intelligence and the capability to design and sell solutions for that transition.

• Extensive hands-on experience with at least two enterprise TMS platforms, such as Phrase, Lokalise, Trados Enterprise, Smartling, XTM, or memoQ.

• Practical experience in designing or scoping translation workflows that incorporate machine translation, large language models, and human-in-the-loop review.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

• Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of regular expressions (regex) and XPath for advanced text extraction.

• Expert understanding of localization standards including XLIFF, TMX, TBX, and SRX.

• Comprehension of cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Awareness of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
