Senior Power Systems Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the product commissioning of e-STORAGE solutions at UK LTSA locations, including SolBank, string inverters, MVSkids, and related MV equipment.

• Establish initial power-on configuration parameters and execute product-level testing along with return-to-service operations.

• Maintain responsibility for product commissioning standards, procedures, test documentation, and records across UK projects.

• Deliver product-level technical assistance and approval to the site commissioning team during energisation, SAT, and witness testing.

• Conduct MV/HV isolations, earthing, safety documentation tasks, and operational switching in accordance with the applicable safe system of work.

• Assist with planned preventative and corrective maintenance tasks relating to MV/HV systems.

• Direct HV/MV preventative maintenance for CSE, SMA, and Power Electronics equipment.

• Manage corrective maintenance efforts, including fault analysis, root cause examination, remediation, and return to service processes.

• Provide safety leadership and oversee third-party HV contractors.

• Evaluate and enhance service-team competency through toolbox discussions, training, and authorization recommendations.

• Incorporate field insights into standards, RAMS/SOPs, and OEM escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Trained and qualified for MV/HV activities up to 33kV.

• Eligible for appointment under company or client operational regulations as needed.

• Established electrical background with relevant experience.

• Experience in utility-scale BESS or solar commissioning.

• Familiarity with MV switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.

• Understanding of G99 requirements adequate to assist in site commissioning compliance testing.

• Possession of a full UK driving license.

• Willingness and capability to travel regionally and occasionally nationally.
