Senior Power Systems Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the product commissioning of e-STORAGE solutions at UK LTSA locations to meet OEM standards and project specifications.

• Establish the initial power-on settings and take responsibility for product-level testing and the return-to-service process.

• Manage commissioning protocols, procedures, test documentation, and record-keeping.

• Offer product-level technical assistance and approval to the site Cx team during energization, SAT, and witness testing.

• Execute MV/HV isolations, grounding, safety documentation responsibilities, and operational switching in accordance with the established safe system of work.

• Assist PM and CM tasks related to HV/MV equipment.

• Direct HV/MV preventive maintenance for CSE, SMA, and Power Electronics equipment.

• Lead corrective maintenance efforts, including fault investigation, root cause analysis, repair, and return to service.

• Provide safety leadership and oversee third-party HV contractors.

• Evaluate and enhance service team competencies through toolbox talks, training sessions, and authorization recommendations.

• Incorporate field insights into standards, RAMS/SOPs, and OEM escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Trained and qualified for MV/HV tasks up to 33kV.

• Eligible for appointment under company or client operational regulations as needed.

• Proven electrical background with relevant experience.

• Experience in utility-scale BESS or solar commissioning.

• Proficient understanding of MV switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.

• Familiarity with G99 requirements adequate to facilitate compliance testing.

• Valid UK driving license.

• Willing to travel regionally and occasionally nationally.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
