Senior Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement scalable business intelligence solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI.

• Construct and sustain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that aid in business decision-making.

• Develop and enhance Power BI data models, which include intricate relationships, calculated columns, measures, and DAX expressions.

• Design and refine SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to fulfill reporting and analytical needs.

• Integrate data from various sources such as relational databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.

• Design and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to guarantee data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Create business process automation and workflow solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Automate.

• Implement Microsoft Power BI solutions adhering to best practices in data visualization, performance optimization, and software development.

• Monitor and address issues related to Microsoft Power BI reports, datasets, data refreshes, and automation workflows.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, software developers, and IT teams to convert business requirements into efficient BI solutions.

• Ensure data security, governance, access control, and compliance across Power BI and associated Microsoft solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or a similar field.

• Required hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report optimization.

• Required hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, encompassing workflow automation and integration with business applications.

• Essential strong SQL experience, which includes complex queries, joins, stored procedures, data manipulation, and query optimization.

• Practical experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, deployment pipelines, gateways, data refreshes, and security/access management.

• Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query (M) for data transformation and analytical calculations.

• Experience in integrating data from diverse sources and working with relational databases and cloud-based data platforms.

• Strong comprehension of data modeling concepts, including star schema, fact and dimension tables, and performance enhancement.

• Experience in gathering business requirements and converting them into technical BI solutions.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and emerging Business Intelligence technologies and best practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience in Agile or similar software development environments is preferred.

• Advanced English proficiency skills (C1) are required.
