Senior BI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and execute comprehensive Business Intelligence solutions tailored to meet business and analytical requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp objectives, KPIs, processes, and reporting necessities.

• Convert business needs into data models, analytical frameworks, and visual representations.

• Create and sustain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and DAX measures.

• Develop and implement scalable data models adhering to dimensional modeling best practices.

• Create and refine SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformation methodologies.

• Design and execute ETL/ELT processes that integrate various data sources.

• Engage with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, pipelines, notebooks, and semantic models.

• Contribute to the implementation of Medallion Architecture.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, performance, security, and scalability across BI solutions.

• Evaluate existing BI solutions to identify optimization and modernization opportunities.

• Define and establish KPIs, metrics, balanced scorecards, and management reporting frameworks.

• Troubleshoot data, reporting, and performance challenges throughout the BI stack.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Solution Architects, Developers, and business teams.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced BI professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, or a similar field.

• Strong practical experience with Power BI, including advanced DAX and semantic models.

• Proficient SQL skills, encompassing query optimization and complex data transformations.

• Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, star schemas, facts, dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions.

• Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes.

• Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern data platforms.

• Experience with data warehouse and/or lakehouse architectures, along with Medallion Architecture.

• Proficient in integrating data from relational databases, APIs, files, ERP, CRM, or cloud platforms.

• Strong grasp of BI architecture and the entire data-to-insight lifecycle.

• Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced English proficiency required for collaboration with US clients.
