This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Participate in the transformative process of selecting and implementing a contemporary Point of Sale system, inclusive of mobile POS.
• Lead and manage technical releases for Point of Sale while ensuring business continuity for the current legacy NCR Cornell Mayo application.
• Connect existing legacy applications to a modern technology infrastructure.
• Act as the technical authority for in-store custom applications related to cash management, returns, electronic journals, and payment integrations.
• Design, develop, and deploy in-store applications adhering to Change Management and ITIL protocols.
• Collaborate with product and QA teams to deliver high-quality products and ensure smooth implementations.
• Engage in project meetings from a technical standpoint, with a solid understanding of the luxury retail industry.
• Provide technical solutions centered on event-driven transactions, operational efficiency, sustainability, and high availability.
• Spearhead omni-channel technical initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
• Work closely with stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
• Manage critical outages affecting store applications and offer direction to technology partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in technology within the retail sector.
• More than 10 years of direct hands-on technical/architecture experience in retail POS, mobile POS, and credit/debit payment authorizations.
• At least 10 years of technical experience with Point of Sale applications, including C++, C#, ASP.Net, REST Web Services, JSON and XML, Azure Git and GitHub, Amazon Web Services, and Kafka.
• Proven experience in managing third-party technical vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Project/program management experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google collaboration suite is preferred.
